Reed-Frost is:
  • One of the simplest epidemic models, and often is used as a template for more sophisticated models, [3].

  • A classical discrete-time model describing the spread of an infectious disease over a closed population, [ 2, 3, 4 ].

  • An S.I.R. Model (States Subdivided into):
    • Susceptible
    • Infectious
    • Removed (Immune) [ 2, 3 ]

  • A Model where Infection propagation is a Markov Chain where each state of infection lasts only one time period, t , [2].
